During the Gujarat communal riots, his house was destroyed. At a young age, When Munawar was only 16 years old, he lost her mother. His mother committed suicide. After that, his father shifted from Junagadh to Dongri, Mumbai in 2007.
In 2008 his father had serious health issues due to which the responsibility for the marriage of her three sisters fell on Munawar’s shoulders.
After which he started selling utensils in a shop. He used to sell utensils in the shop during the day and complete his computer course at night. After completing a computer course, he worked as a graphic designer in an agency.

Controversy
Munawar Faruqui is always at the top of the controversy. In April 2020, Munawar Faruquie landed into controversy when one of his YouTube videos went viral, in which he made fun of Hindu deities Lord Ram Sita and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. After that, he apologized for this also.

On January 2, 2021, Madhya Pradesh police arrested him during a comic act. Due to hurting religious sentiments. Police said they were arrested under Section 295-A, Section-298, Section-269, Section-188, and Section-34 of the Indian Criminal Code.
After about a month, Munawar Faruquie was released under the directions of the Supreme Court. After his release, he continued to do shows in different cities, but he started receiving many threatening messages and calls, which led to Munawwar canceling more than 16 shows in a row.
